Tune in to free water conservation webinar on May 7

PALATKA, Fla., May 4, 2020 — The second in a series of free educational webinars about Florida’s water and its protection will be held Thursday, May 7, by the St. Johns River Water Management District.

“Water Conservation: It’s About Today and Tomorrow” will discuss how water managers are working to ensure adequate water supply now and into the future, how water is used, the important role of water conservation, recommend ways to conserve water and save on your water bill.

Deirdre Irwin, the district’s water conservation coordinator, will be a guest presenter on the webinar, which is hosted by Dr. Jennifer Mitchell, who coordinates the district’s education programs.

A third webinar, “Water Flows Downhill: How Your Yard Can Impact Water Quality,” is scheduled for May 14 and will focus on how residential landscapes influence water quality.
