PALATKA, Fla., July 1, 2020 — The St. Johns River Water Management District’s free Thursday morning webinar series continues with upcoming discussions about the Water Less outdoor water conservation campaign, setting minimum flows and levels and ensuring resiliency in Florida’s communities.

These free, half-hour educational webinars begin at 10:30 a.m. Visit www.sjrwmd.com/education to register for:

  • July 2: “Water Less: Reducing outdoor irrigation” will discuss ways we can use less water this summer. Public Communications Coordinator Dr. Jennifer Mitchell, who coordinates the district’s educational programs, is the featured speaker.
  • July 16: “Setting and Assessing Minimum Flows and Levels at the SJRWMD” will discuss one of the tools that the district uses for balancing our need for water with protection of our natural systems. District Technical Program Manager Dr. Andrew Sutherland is the featured speaker.
  • July 30: “Resiliency” will discuss ways the district is working to ensure resiliency in our communities. Tom Frick, director of the district’s Division of Strategic Planning and Initiatives, is the featured speaker.
