A short guide to getting started with Project WET
WET activity information or extensions
Be careful when doing the activity Just Passing Through (also titled Turbidity or Not Turbidity, from Healthy Waters Healthy People). The original WET guide suggests using peanuts as “sediment” for Just Passing Through (also titled Turbidity or Not Turbidity, from Healthy Waters Healthy People) because they’re biodegradable. Some students have peanut allergies that do not even allow them to touch peanuts or their oils. Therefore, our recommendation is not to use peanuts for either activity. A biodegradable alternative is dried lima beans (not canned or frozen).
