Cost-share funding

Cooperative funding, FY 2014–2015

The St. Johns River Water Management District’s Governing Board approved a ranking of cooperative funding project applications that provides funding for 40 projects with local governments and other entities in fiscal year 2014–2015 (Oct. 1, 2014–Sept. 30, 2015). The projects are located in 10 counties — Alachua, Brevard, Duval, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Seminole, St. Johns and Volusia.

The funded projects include reclaimed water and water conservation projects, springshed nutrient-reduction projects, water quality improvement projects and enhancements to wastewater treatment and water distribution systems.

The district received 68 cooperative funding project applications during the spring submittal period that ended March 31, 2014. The 40 projects slated for funding emerged as priority projects following an intensive and objective evaluation of each application. The cooperative funding was provided as an incentive for timely construction and operation of projects that further specific district initiatives, including the Indian River Lagoon, Springs Protection, North Florida Water Initiative, and Central Florida Water Initiative.
