Lawn and landscape irrigation rule
Local government ordinances
designating irrigation days
The St. Johns River Water Management District’s lawn and landscape irrigation rule allows irrigation only before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m. no more than two days a week. The user can choose the two days a week when irrigation occurs. A summary of the District’s rule can be found HERE.
However, local governments are authorized to enforce the rule by adopting ordinances incorporating the rule. Also, these ordinances can specify the two days per week when irrigation can occur.
The following local governments have adopted ordinances consistent with the District’s rule:
