Minimum flows and levels (MFLs) cost-share opportunities
In fiscal year 2011–2012, $11.5 million is available for cost-share projects that have a demonstrated benefit for prevention or recovery of minimum flows and levels (MFLs) water bodies. In addition, projects may be considered if they provide an off-set to groundwater consumption and are “shovel-ready” for construction.
On Jan. 10, 2012, five cost-share projects were approved by the Governing Board. Upon contract execution, these projects will receive a total of $4,278,020.88 in cost-share funds, which will leave a balance of approximately $7.3 million for fiscal year 2011–2012.
For more information on available cost-share funds and how to submit an application for such funds, contact Scott Laidlaw, P.G., senior hydrologist, Bureau of Water Supply, at slaidlaw@sjrwmd.com or (386) 312-2388.
