What it teaches
This program is a creative, hands-on way to teach grade-specific lessons in reading, science, language arts, geography, history, math and water conservation. Students can use the interactive CD, working alone or in groups, to study science content and read through material with a focus on water. Science content assessments are embedded within the program, with printable score summaries available for grading purposes.
A comprehensive educator’s guide provides numerous activities to surround, support and integrate learning into other content areas. There are strong reading and writing connections, with traditional assessments and Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT)-like assessments throughout.
Educators may obtain this curriculum and its support materials by attending a traditional workshop or by completing the online training course available through the St. Johns River Water Management District.
