Dave Fisk
Assistant Executive Director
Dave Fisk joined the St. Johns River Water Management District in February 2002 as deputy executive director and was named assistant executive director in June 2003. With more than 30 years of water resources experience, Fisk is versed in a variety of fields, including water resource regulations, projects and project management, and budgets and administration.
As the assistant executive director, he is responsible for the direction of staff, budget and other functions of the District, including water use and wetlands permitting, water resources research, environmental restoration, planning, land acquisition, administration, operations, and legislative and interagency coordination.
Prior to joining the St. Johns District, Fisk was assistant executive director at the Suwannee River Water Management District, where he had worked for 27 years. His duties included acting as a liaison between state and federal governmental bodies and the District.
Fisk graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology. He is a registered professional geologist in Florida, with professional expertise in hydrogeology. He also has an extensive agricultural background of cattle ranching and tree farming.
