Sebastian Inlet

Sebastian Inlet is one of five inlets that connect the Indian River Lagoon with the Atlantic Ocean.

Green heron

This bird forages mostly by standing still or stalking very slowly at the edge of shallow water. It sometimes drops bait such as a feather or small twig on the water’s surface to lure fish, making it one of the few known species to use such tools.

Dotted horsemint is a pretty flower you might see at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
