Green Algae Boil is a fifth-magnitude spring and consists of vents A and B that flow toward the southwest to the Sulphur Run of Black Water Creek. Water flow is barely visible from beneath dense leaf debris in the small, circular pool at vent A, while there is no visible flow in the pool at vent B.

Discharge from Green Algae Boil was measured at 0.14 cubic feet per second by St. Johns River Water Management District in 2005. This is a combined discharge for vents A and B in the spring run as it flows to Sulphur Run.
