Helene Spring is a fourth-magnitude spring with a single pool and a long spring run to Sulphur Run. Palm, oak, and pine trees are common in the area around the spring and run. The spring pool is rimmed with limestone rock and the single vent is located on the bottom of the pool.


Discharge from Helene Spring was measured by St. Johns River Water Management District from 2008–2010. The mean and median discharges for this period are 1.27 cfs and 1.36 cfs, respectively (see the table below).
