Description
Harden Spring has an elongated pool approximately 65 feet by 50 feet encircled by cement blocks. The spring flowed after the pool was dug out in the 1950s. Water flows from a small vent on the west side of the pool. The run is about 75 feet long and 3 feet wide and flows westward to the Wekiva River. The waters are photosensitive. Before sunlight strikes the pool the water is milky as in the photo. After ½ to 1½ hours of sunlight, the water becomes clear.
