The District’s enhanced StreamLines digital magazine is now live at

At the St. Johns River Water Management District, we are continually improving how we do our work — and that includes how to best communicate and engage with you. As a public agency and public servants, we strive to ensure that information about our projects, decisions and processes is available in the most proactive, transparent and understandable manner possible.

To that end, I’m pleased to announce the launching of our revamped StreamLines digital magazine. StreamLines began as a paper publication in January 1991. The publication changed format many times before migrating to our website entirely a few years ago with a single in-depth story appearing quarterly. The updated StreamLines will provide new articles, photos, videos and District news more regularly, keeping pace with the way we have all come to expect up-to-the-minute information in this digital age.

StreamLines will continue to engage with long-form stories about environmental restoration projects or the science behind our water resource management decisions, and we’re also planning to delight you with diverse topics presented in an entertaining way. Expect photos that communicate the beauty of our public lands and the wildlife there, videos highlighting our talented staff and the innovative technologies they employ to meet our mission, the occasional pop quiz (get ready!), top 10 list or surprise guest columns. Visit often to see what’s new and useful.

Our digital magazine is just one way we deliver what you need to know about the work being done on your behalf to conserve, protect and improve the quality of our precious water resources. Through StreamLines and our other communication tools such us our weekly Water News newsletter, our website, social media channels, public presentations and community outreach events we provide current, valuable information to the leaders and citizens of the communities we serve.
