District to close all public lands as Hurricane Ian continues to shift east
District Operation and Maintenance staff are actively preparing for the anticipated rainfall from Hurricane Ian. PALATKA, Fla., Sept. 27, 2022 — The St Johns River Water Management District will close all District-managed navigational locks, campgrounds and properties, to include trails and day use areas, throughout its 18-county region Tuesday, Sept. 27, at 7 p.m. in anticipation of impacts from Hurricane Ian until further notice.
