District hosts Splash Night at Middleton-Burney Elementary in Crescent City

PALATKA, Fla., Feb. 5, 2016 — The St. Johns River Water Management District is holding a Splash into Science Night on Feb. 11 for students, parents and teachers at Middleton-Burney Elementary School in Crescent City. The event uses interactive activities to teach students about water supply and natural systems with a focus on science, technology, engineering and math learning.

Among Splash Night activities, students create water cycle bracelets, build a food chain, explore the layers of the Floridan aquifer system through an edible aquifer and play The Great Water OdysseySM, a Web-based educational program designed by the district.
