PALATKA, Fla., Aug. 16, 2017 — The St. Johns River Water Management District has launched a new and improved website featuring a more contemporary look, streamlined pages and improved navigability.

“We hope everyone who uses our website will find the new design intuitive and consistent as they navigate through menus,” says St. Johns River Water Management District Communications Director Tiffany Cowie. “Months of effort and many individuals have worked together to make this project a success. I’m proud the district has created a product that will better serve the public.”

In addition to its improved appearance, the website is built in a responsive format, which allows it to correctly and instantly resize to fit and function on mobile devices as well as desktop computers. The website offers expanded search features and updated information on hundreds of webpages. The menu has been streamlined and simplified, with information reorganized into more user-friendly categories and pages redesigned to improve navigation.

To keep the site dynamic, trending topics on the homepage will be frequently updated to highlight issues or projects that are of the greatest interest to the public. Also, more video and graphic elements have been added to the site.

The latest district news can be found in the online newsroom, along with videos, radio public service announcements and links to connect with the district through social media.

Favorite interactive pages such as the online recreation guide are now searchable and hydrologic data search tools, water quality data and GIS land use imagery continue to be accessible on the Data and Tools page.
