PALATKA, Fla., Aug. 4, 2021 — The St. Johns River Water Management District is accepting public comment on the draft Central Springs/East Coast Regional Water Supply Plan through Aug. 27.

The draft plan can be reviewed at www.sjrwmd.com/water-supply/planning/csec-rwsp, along with presentations from three recent public workshops and a technical methods workshop.

The Central Springs/East Coast regional water supply planning area is one of three planning regions within the District. Water supply planning is part of the District’s work to ensure that adequate and sustainable water supplies are available to meet future needs while protecting the environment. Water supply plans identify future water supply needs for a 20-year planning horizon and provide project options to ensure sustainable supplies.
