District lands reopen just in time for Labor Day weekend

PALATKA, Fla., Aug. 31, 2023 — As of today, the St. Johns River Water Management District has reopened several of their lands and all the navigational locks.

The Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive will be open this weekend, including Monday, Sept. 4 in recognition of Labor Day. The wildlife drive, which is located on the District’s Lake Apopka North Shore property, is open to vehicular traffic between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
