“One of the best things about working at this agency is the people. The people and the mission are the two best things. It feels good to go home knowing you’ve contributed to the environment and the water resources of Florida and how we’re protecting it.

Personally, I like the work life balance that the agency provides. I’m able to have a great home life and a great work life. I mean of course we work in IT, odd hours, but it’s a better balance than most of my colleagues have found.

After being with the district for 27 years I look back and I’m just really proud of what we’ve accomplished here what we’ve done to help staff fulfill the mission of the agency it’s been very fulfilling. There were lots of jobs I could have gone on to, but I just never really wanted to leave because you have such great people and a great mission and it’s just a been a tremendous organization”
