Resurfacing Work to Temporarily Close Lawton Recreation Area at Three Forks, July 14–17

The District will temporarily close the Thomas O. Lawton Recreation Area at the Three Forks Conservation Area for resurfacing from Monday, July 14, through Thursday, July 17, 2025.

This short-term closure is needed to complete maintenance improvements to the parking lot and surrounding access points within the recreation area, ensuring safe, long-term access for visitors.

Alternative access to Three Forks Conservation Area will remain open during this time at the following locations:

      • Fellsmere Grade Recreation Area (Stick Marsh parking lot)
      • Kenansville parking area
      • Sweetwater parking area and boat ramp

Signage will be posted onsite to notify visitors in advance of the closure.
