District to host Central Recreation Public Meeting

The St. Johns River Water Management District (District) invites the public to attend the Central Recreation Public Meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the District’s Apopka Service Center, Econ Conference Room, located at 2501 S. Binion Road, Apopka, Fla. 32703.

The meeting provides an opportunity for residents and recreation enthusiasts to share feedback and learn more about recreational use of District conservation lands within the central recreation area. This area includes 18 District properties located in Brevard, Lake, Marion, Orange, Putnam, Seminole and Volusia counties. District staff will be available to receive comments, answer questions and provide updates on recreation and land management in the Central Region.

Topics will include:

  • Overview of recreation on District lands
  • Land management updates North Central, Southwest and South Central regions
  • Opportunity for public comment

Those unable to attend in person can submit comments or questions by email to CentralRecreationComments@sjrwmd.com. Responses will be provided after the meeting.
