District to host Southern Recreation Public Meeting

The St. Johns River Water Management District (District) invites the public to attend the Southern Recreation Public Meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the District’s Palm Bay Service Center, Blue Cypress Room, located at 525 Community College Parkway SE, Palm Bay, FL 32909.

The meeting provides an opportunity for residents and recreation enthusiasts to share feedback and learn more about recreational use of District conservation lands within the Indian River Lagoon and Upper St. Johns River Basin. This area includes Brevard, Indian River, Osceola and Okeechobee counties. District staff will be available to receive comments, answer questions and provide updates on recreation and land management in the South Region.

Topics will include:

  • Overview of recreation on District lands in the South Region
  • Land management and operations updates
  • Opportunity for public comment
