District to host 2026 Ocklawaha River Basin Plan Public Meeting

Aerial view of a large lake with marshy shoreline, sparse aquatic vegetation, and flat, open land with scattered trees under a clear blue sky.

Lake Apopka, the headwaters of the Ocklawaha Chain of Lakes, has been the focus of nearly 40 years of restoration by the District. Since its water flows north through the chain, its water quality directly impacts the health of the entire system.
