Drought conditions persisted across much of the St. Johns River Water Management District in May despite the region's first month of above-average rainfall since October 2025.

The St. Johns River Water Management District announces a public hearing for the Turnbull Hammock Conservation Area, located in Edgewater, FL. The hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, and will be held at the Edgewater Public Library, 103 W Indian River Blvd, Edgewater, FL 32132. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comment regarding the development of the 10-year Land Management Plan update for the Conservation Area.
